What is Giftedness?
Giftedness is demonstrating an ability to think, reason and make connections in a more advanced way when compared to peers of the same age, level of development and similar environment. Students may sometimes express giftedness in non-academic ways. Giftedness is typically diagnosed by the trained psychologist with the help of certain psychoeducational tests.

What we can do
Since giftedness is classified as a part of special education, it requires the same amount of intervention as other conditions. Gifted students typically surpass the curriculum by two or three years, and are often bored at school. We offer intellectual stimulation by accelerating the curriculum or by expanding their topics of interest further and deeper. We are a team of special educators who have a good understanding of children and brain development.
It’s not uncommon for gifted students to lag behind in some skills, but surpass in others. For example, some grade six students may be working at a grade five in writing, grade eight in math and have only emerging learning skills. All three areas need development but in different ways.
